Is there any way to get rid of the usual clunk in the steering wheel of a 2003 gmc yukon denali? I was watching a show on tv about it and they said just to lube the shaft but does that really work? I dont want to spend a lot of money on this. If just lubing it works what kind of grease should i use?
There is a special synthetic grease used in the steering shafts to correct the noise.Problem is this is a short term fix.The steering shaft needs to be replaced to correct the noise.Best of luck.

it very very difficult to turn the steering wheel. does the power steering pump need replacing or is it another issue
Is there power steering fluid in the system? If not refill it to find the leak. If full, then the pump itself is bad, and will need to be replaced. Good luck.
