I was hearing some squealing in my car, so I decided to take my car in the shop. They told me that I needed new brake shoes and rotors. They also said that I needed new hub bearings on the front end. He showed me that my wheel had some play in it. I got the new shoes and rotors, but I elected to hold off on hub bearings and see if the brake job fixed the noise issue. The day I picked it up from the shop and drove it home, I noticed that the squealing was gone, but the steering wheel started vibrating when I go around a turn or at high speeds. Do you think it's something they did, like didn't tighten the lug nuts or maybe warped rotors or do you think it could be still be my hub bearings causing the steering wheel vibration?
Front wheels need to be balanced at a tyre bay

9 times out of 10, it's a wheel alignment problem...it can be dangerous, not just irritating, so take your vehicle ASAP to a LICENSED repair/tire shop! When you buy new tires they are SUPPOSED to align them properly, As kthem to look at the problem for you. A regular tire place MAY not be able to fix a damaged axle, so ASK FIRST!
Your tires may also be warn unevenly, or it could even be both, so get this checked immediately!

I have a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. The steering wheel vibrates at a high speed ( 60 or above )?

I have balanced, rotated the tires, had a front in alignment All brakes and rotors replaced. new ball joints, tie rod ends. Tires are only 2 yrs old w/ good tread on them. It still vibrates at high speeds. The faster I go the worse the vibration. Help !
You had tires rotated and alignment, good tread... doesn't mean the tires are good. The belts may have slipped on them, or they could have worn unevenly. You may also want to check your wheel bearings but I think it's tires.

Skoda Yeti 4x4 DSG Review
31.12.69
Fuel economy (tested): not recorded OVERVIEW
Don't underestimate Skoda's new compact AWD wagon, its appealingly-named Yeti . This is one tough little brick.
We put it through an ordeal by stone, sand and water in the Fiske River Gorge out of Alice Springs. From 'The Alice' to Boggy Hole and back.
It's a track that had the Amarok support vehicles struggling. In ten blue-moons you would never sensibly point a light-duty AWD at such terrain with no low-range, with just 180mm ground clearance and sitting on fat low-profile road tyres. Yet the Yeti skittered through.
A few in the convoy got stuck, buried to the chassis in the soft sand; the treatment was cruel, but most churned and bounced from one sandy river hollow to the next. Massive kudos to the Czech 'snowman', this gutsy little Yeti.
INTERIOR
Quality: Skoda's generally are pretty hard to fault; the Yeti has one of the smarter interiors. Soft textured dash surfaces and door-trims, cold-metal garnishes, appealing seat fabrics and the robust feel common to most Volkswagen Group products.
