Won't work with Steering wheel tilted...?
We have a 99 Dodge Ram truck.
Yesterday, I went to put it in park and it died. Not only did it die, it wouldn't do anything; ie: radio, dash, buzzer... The interior lights and exterior lights worked just fine. I got it to crank back when I tilted the steering wheel out of the top position. When running and switched back to the top position, it would die.
Today, I went to crank it (with the wheel in the middle position) and all it did was this clicking noise. <The battery was fine and getting great connection.> It did nothing in the top position. The very lowest position would get a crank and radio, etc.
Any clues on this situation?
loose or pinched or broken wires that may be shorting out in it,i never seen one do that before, though, but that would be what i would check for first, good luck.
