This Lady minds its manners

Lady Antebellum has its feet planted firmly in the middle of the road and it ain’t budging.
The Nashville-based pop-country trio most likely wouldn’t take the description “middle of the road” as an insult, either. They seem like pretty sweet and friendly people, for one thing, so they probably wouldn’t let on even if they were angry at you for saying it. But the middle of the road is also, by their own admission, kinda where they set out to be.
“Critics and music historians won’t look at us and go: ‘Gosh, they’re the edgiest band in the world,’” concedes vocalist Charles Kelley during a recent trip to Toronto to tape the Bravo! special Lady Antebellum at the Concert Hall (it airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. and again Saturday at 7 p.m.). “It’s not like we’ve reinvented the wheel. But we are honest about what we say and what we write and so, I think, that’s what the fans gravitate toward.”
Lots of fans. Lady Antebellum’s 2010 album,
