will a slight off center steering wheel affect my tires?

The off center steering wheel is not alot, just a tiny bit. But that won't affect my tires alot, would it?

If the wheels are aligned properly, and the steering wheel itself is not set correctly, you will have no effect at all on the tires. If the alignment is off, it can cause abnormal tire wear.

You need an alignment. This can cause uneven or excessive wear.

If your car tracks straight when you let go of the steering wheel on flat ground...More than likely no. It won't affect your tires.
If you have to hold the steering wheel in a certain position that is off center for your car to track straight then Yes!

2004 jaguar xj8, got my off center steering wheel fixed, now dsc light comes on?

my steering wheel was off center about a half inch to the left, took it into the dealer they fixed it. now my dsc (dynamic stability control) light comes on saying dsc not available. do i need a realignment i have read it online. i need a answer so i can confront the dealer if it is there fault. i hate car dealers.

I Do Too! You wouldn't think a dealership would make this kind of mistake, But this further confirms my idea about dealerships! There are more and more dealers that are hiring young technicians straight out of trade school that lack the necessary experience and they are cutting back on the flat rate hourly pay and the older experienced technicians are leaving because of pay cuts! You are having this problem because Your Stability control system was not recalibrated! (yaw rate sensor) This is the last step in doing an alignment on a vehicle with stability control system! Hunter alignment machines (the type that our shop) has a feature called "Code Link" it is a part of the machines hardware and it has a cable that connects to the vehicles OBDII port and you go through a series of menu's and this device recalibrates the vehicles stability program!

“Samini is fine” after car accident on Sunday

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Emmanuel Samini was on Sunday morning treated and discharged from hospital after a seemingly serious car accident he encountered on his way from a musical concert performance.

Samini was returning from the Ghana Trade Fair Centre where he had purportedly stolen the show at the maiden Ghana Music and Food Festival held over the weekend.

At about 5am, Samini said, I lost control of the steering wheel after an animal - a dog, I believe - crossed the road from nowhere resulting in my car veering off the road and crashing a gutter. The incident occurred near Exhibition Junction at Dansoman in Accra.

Samini was immediately rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital at 5:25am where he was immediately treated and discharged on Sunday.

Prelim medical assessment and report revealed that Samini sustained minor injuries when his head smashed the windscreen. His seat belt worn at the time obviously reduced the impact and prevented him from
