why does my nissan altima steering wheel get a little stuck when turning?

It has just started recently, the steering is hard to turn and jerky and the wheel does not turn back smoothly, it almost feels like it won't turn back even though it always does.
you need to check your power steering fluid, and have your power steering belt looked at. If these things are fine, you may need a power steering pump. It pumps fluid to steering parts and rack & pinion, and helps your car steer smoothly.

It's not to the point of where the power steering is out. But it sure feels a good deal harder to turn then any car I've driven. It also causes the wheel to jerk back very fast, in a situation where you take a turn and then let go of the wheel to smoothly straighten out.
EDIT: power steering fluid is full. Car has no noticeable leeks when looking at the pavement i park on.
Check your power steering fluid, it might just be low. which could mean a leak somewhere, power stearing fluid is not normally one of those things to run out.
