Replaced Front Struts and Mounts on 1996 Saturn - Need input regarding wheel alignment?

SL2 DOHC w/160K miles never any alignment issues, original owner. We used KB GR-2 Struts & Delco Strut Mounts.

Did shop alignment and after first right turn, steering wheel stayed 45 degrees off center with no pull to either side even when braking. Brought back to shop, got back with same problem. Also discovered that wheel would almost re-center after left turn but then go out again to the 45 degree mark. Third trip to shop and I am told cause is proable left side crushed/worn strut mount which is preventing the strut from re-centering.

Doesn't make sense to me or my weekend mechanic peers.
We have never encountered this after a strut/mount replacement. There is no drag or resistance felt when the car comes out of either left or right turns though the left turn has extra play/travel that I don't like at all.

Again, this car is one owner and babied and never has needed an alignment. Now I get one and all heck breaks loose...help!

but your hand on top of the strut mount under the hood as someone turns the wheels full left and right,if the mounts are bad then you will feel them.more than likely what has happened is the strut mounts were turned off center when the spring pressure was put back in place after the strut replacement and they are triing to recenter there,strut mounts are ofset to allow recenteing and yours are probably out

Acura tl steering wheel change. alignment still off after getting 4 wheels laser alignment?

Ok. About 4 months ago, I installed new steering wheel for my acura tl 2007. (at the acura dealer.)
By the first time I drove my car with new steering wheel, I had to turn 45 degress to the right to go straight line. When I told this problem to the acura dealer who changed my steering whee, they told me to get alignment for MORE $$$$. I did paid for this alignment just night before I moved to other states. Still after gettting an alignment done, steering wheel is still slightly off to the right. (about 10 degrees.)
Now I am reget about wasting all the money for imperfect services. Is this problem can be fixed?

Take it back to Acura and make them fix it.

the alignment should have been done at no charge as it is part of the service of replacing the steering wheel.

Lap 53 no change at the front and it looks like Red Bull have the constructors title in the bag. Two laps to go and Button is being told to push hard while his team-mate, no doubt exhausted from having to drive such a defensive race, is radio-ing in asking how many laps to go. Wonderful race 2nd-4th.

Lap 52 Alonso told to push hard for the final five laps. Webber is desperate to take second off Hamilton but in honesty 2nd-4th could go so many ways as the end of the race draws closer.

Lap 50 some good racing going on further pack in the pack, Buemi's just made a very clean move on Paul di Resta to take 9th while Barrichell has overtaken Senna for 13th.

Lap 49 speak too soon! Hamilton's got the KERS and reclaims second place. Button biding his time to make the move on Webber but Alonso has caught him now and is right behind.
