Steering Wheel 3000gt - Steering Wheels

squealing sound when steering wheel is turned?

anyone wanna help?

car is a 95 fwd 3000gt, with 128k on the odometer.

there is a distinct squealing noise when the steering wheel is turned ALL the way, and it does this at least to the left. i haven't tried it on the right yet. it'll do it when the car is moving or when the car is stopped.

Check your power steering fluid level. Check the belt for proper tension. Worse case, power steering pump is failing

possibly power steering

It could be as easy as a belt or involved like replacing the power steering pump. Get to it be for you don't have power steering!

Why does my steering wheel drive to the left and feel like the right wheel is more planted?

Its a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt non turbo.
Yea I am about to buy my own alighnment tool and going by service manual. It feels like camber isnt the same on both sides.
Well I have checked tire pressure over 10 times so I know its alighnment.

I'm not sure which type of alignment tool your buying other than a caster / camber bubble gage that will fit the outside of your wheel spindle bearing. You'll need a pair of toe plates also. When using toe plates you'll need to use two accurate tape measures at the same time. Another person should hold the opposite plate in place while you read the toe's measurement on your plate.Look on this site for both tools: performancebodies.com

Verdict:

Finding a nice example of either one of these cars for sale now will be very difficult, but not impossible.  Very low miles and single owner VR-4 are going at asking prices in the low to mid $20K.  Average price of a VR-4 now is twice that of an non-turbo counterpart.  And many asking prices are far higher than the already generous book values.  The situation is similar with the Stealth Turbo, however on a slightly lower budget.  Low miles cars are going at asking prices of low to mid $10K.  This points to the fact that these cars are desirable and will continue to be so.  If you can find that elusive well preserved car with all the paperwork, then it's for sure worth a buy.
