for a school bus pretrip, what do the following look like?
master cyclinder, Air Spliter, pitman arm, drag link, steering arm, spindle, retainer clips calipers

00 crown victoria .I need to losen the nut that connects the pitman arm to the steering box..the nut about 2 inchs wide..its a large ass one.
The local autoparts stores said thats a speciality item and they dont sell that socket anywhers
what should i do?

My best advice would be to take it to a ford dealer ! It takes a special tool to take off the pitman arm after you get the nut loose ! Have tried many time myself to do it sometimes with success , But have broken the pitman arm puller in the process ! I know it is going to be expensive at a dealer , But by the time you buy the puller and the socket or cresent wrench to loosen the nut you could have had them do it . And you could have been driving your car .also there is a seal above the pitman arm and if you damage that in the process you are going to have a very nice leak to deal with and would be paying out more money ! hope this helps you decide
