why is my power steering pretty much opposite?
the power steering on my 97 f150 is pretty much working backwards. with no fluid it was steering as if everything were alright. then i added fluid and now it steers like it has nothing in it.? and it appears that there was fluid leakage on the steering box by the pitman arm. but with no fluid in the system before this happen... what could be wrong?????
Law says that the steering must work even if the power system fails completely - there has to be a 100% mechanical basic steering system. But I wouldn't mess with it - Get to a pro; Don't push your luck with bad steering.
