1999 suburban pitman arm torque specs?
For a 1999 suburban, what would be the pitman arm torque specifications in foot pounds? Sorry if this makes no sense, but my dad didn't give me any other information and I don't know what it's supposed to be..
Install the Pitman arm on the Pitman shaft.
Align the marks made at removal.
Install the Pitman arm washer and the Pitman arm nut.
Tighten the Pitman arm nut to 184 ft. lbs. (250 Nm).
Install the relay rod to the Pitman arm ball stud. Make sure the seal is on the Pitman arm ball stud.
Use tool J29193 in order to seat the tapers.
Tighten tool J29193 to 46 ft. lbs. (62 Nm).
Remove tool J29193 .
Install the new prevailing torque nut.
Tighten the new prevailing torque nut to 46 ft. lbs. (62 Nm).
Lower the vehicle.
Align the marks made at removal.
Install the Pitman arm washer and the Pitman arm nut.
Tighten the Pitman arm nut to 184 ft. lbs. (250 Nm).
Install the relay rod to the Pitman arm ball stud. Make sure the seal is on the Pitman arm ball stud.
Use tool J29193 in order to seat the tapers.
Tighten tool J29193 to 46 ft. lbs. (62 Nm).
Remove tool J29193 .
Install the new prevailing torque nut.
Tighten the new prevailing torque nut to 46 ft. lbs. (62 Nm).
Lower the vehicle.
