4 inch drop Pitman Arm - Pitman Arms

Does my Jeep need to be regeared?

I will soon lift my 1996 XJ 4.0L, Rusty's 3 Inch lift with 2 inch spacers, so 5 inch lift, drop pitman arm, rustys steering kit, new track bar, and steering box brace, I am going to put in an SYE and I am buying new wheels and tires, 31x10.50-15 tires, will i need to regear it or is it ok?

since the radius of the wheel has changed, the speedometer will be off. the drive gear for the speedo will have to change.

for 31's ? no not really, you should maybe go 4:10 's when you get in the 33" range, the xj came stock with 31's I thought, 31's might look a little small with that kit imho
